COMPOSITION – Clarithromycin 250 mg/500 mg
- A Broad spectrum antibiotic, frequently prescribes for the treatment of acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis
- Effective against a wide range of microorganisms, including Gram-positive cocci, Haemophilus influenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis, mycoplasma, chlamydia, mycobacteria, and protozoan organisms
- Drug of choice for the treatment of mycoplasma pneumonia and chlamydia pneumonia2
- Effective against non-tuberculous mycobacteria infection and H. pylori infection2
- A dose of 250 mg twice daily for 14 days is effective for the treatment of community-acquired pneumonia
